Terms of Service

1. Overview

Salut is an AI-powered accountability coach with a focus on wellness and health. It helps you stay consistent with those goals through WhatsApp, Telegram, and an optional web dashboard, while also supporting other routines, habits, and forms of accountability.

By accessing or using Salut, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Salut provides AI-generated conversations, reminders, check-ins, structured tracking, long-term memory, and optional dashboard access to help you stay organized and follow through on your goals. Salut is primarily designed around wellness and health accountability, but it may also be used for other personal routines and goals. Some features may rely on third-party messaging platforms, hosting providers, analytics providers, and AI model providers.

We may add, change, pause, or remove features at any time as the product evolves.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Salut. By using the service, you represent that you are at least 16. Salut is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from users under 16.

If we reasonably believe a user is under 16 or is using the service without valid consent where consent is required, we may suspend access and delete related data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4. Messaging Platforms and Communications

Salut is primarily a chat-first service. Your Salut identity may be tied to your phone number, chat ID, messaging account, and any linked web account you use to access the dashboard.

By using Salut, you consent to receive AI-generated and system-generated messages through WhatsApp, Telegram, email, or the dashboard as needed to provide the service, including replies, reminders, check-ins, onboarding messages, service notices, and account-related communications. You are responsible for keeping your messaging account and any linked web account secure.

Standard messaging, data, or carrier charges from your provider may apply. Your use of WhatsApp, Telegram, and other third-party platforms is also subject to those platforms' own terms and privacy policies.

5. Not Professional Advice and No Emergency Services

Salut is a coaching and tracking tool, not a substitute for professional advice. Salut does not provide medical, mental health, legal, financial, or other licensed professional services.

Salut uses artificial intelligence to generate responses. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate for your situation. You should use your own judgment and seek qualified professional advice where appropriate.

Salut is not a crisis or emergency service. If you believe you are experiencing a medical, mental health, or other emergency, contact your local emergency services or a qualified professional immediately.

6. Privacy and Data Processing

Your use of Salut is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, transfer, and delete your data.

To operate Salut, your messages and tracking data may be processed by third-party service providers, including messaging platforms, hosting providers, analytics providers, and AI model providers such as Anthropic, as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of the messages, uploads, tracking entries, and other content you submit to Salut. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, store, transmit, process, organize, and display that content as needed to operate, maintain, secure, and improve Salut.

You are responsible for the content you choose to share and for ensuring that you have the right to share it. You agree not to submit content that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Salut or use it in a way that harms us, other users, or third parties. In particular, you agree not to:

• use Salut for unlawful, abusive, harassing, or fraudulent activity
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or authority
• attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the service
• use unauthorized bots, scripts, scraping tools, or automated methods to access or extract data from Salut
• attempt to extract prompts, hidden instructions, model configuration, or other internal system behavior from the service

9. Intellectual Property

Salut, including its software, site content, design, branding, and underlying service features, is owned by Salut or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except as permitted by law or these terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the service.

10. Availability and Pricing

Features may change, improve, break, or be removed. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device or platform, or that every feature will continue to exist in its current form.

Salut currently includes a 3-day free trial. After the trial ends, continued access requires a recurring 9.99 USD/month subscription through our checkout flow before new coaching messages or scheduled check-ins continue.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Salut is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, accurate, complete, or fit for your particular purpose.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or use arising out of or related to your use of Salut.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to Salut will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or the minimum amount required by applicable law if that amount is greater.

13. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Salut at any time. You may also request deletion of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Salut if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms, created legal, security, safety, or operational risk, abused the service, or if we discontinue all or part of the service.

Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, user content, termination, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive will continue to apply after termination.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and may provide notice through the website, dashboard, email, or messaging channels when reasonably appropriate.

Your continued use of Salut after the updated terms take effect means you accept the revised terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service.
